Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 November 2026
Glitchy Gorilla (“Glitchy Gorilla”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Glitchy Gorilla website, mobile games, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our website, games, and other Services.
Our Services currently include Android games and may include additional games, applications, websites, and features in the future.
By using our Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Scope of this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to:
- the Glitchy Gorilla website;
- our Android games and applications, currently Quiz Românesc, My Little Pal and Neon Runner;
- future games and applications released by Glitchy Gorilla; and
- other Services operated by Glitchy Gorilla that link to this Privacy Policy.
We may release additional games or features in the future. This Privacy Policy is intended to apply broadly to our Services, but we will update it if a new game, feature, service, or third-party provider changes the types of information we collect, how we use information, or who we share it with.
If a particular Service has additional or different privacy practices, we may provide additional privacy information within that Service.
2. Our games at a glance
- Quiz Românesc: needs an internet connection. It saves your quiz progress on your device only and shows advertising provided by Google AdMob.
- My Little Pal: a virtual pet game designed for a family audience, including children. Caring for your pet works offline. It saves your pet and settings on your device only. It needs the internet only to load optional rewarded ads, which are set up for child-directed use (see the sections on Advertising and Children's Privacy). It does not need an account and does not ask for personal information.
- Neon Runner: needs an internet connection. It saves your coins, unlocked items and progress on your device only and shows advertising provided by Google AdMob: banner ads, full-screen ads and optional rewarded ads.
3. Information We Collect
The information collected may vary depending on which Glitchy Gorilla Service you use.
Information you provide to us
Our Services do not currently require users to create an account or provide personal information such as their name, postal address, or telephone number in order to play our games.
If you contact us directly, for example by email, we may receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, name, and the contents of your message.
We use this information to respond to your enquiry, provide support, and address issues relating to our Services.
Information collected automatically
When you use our games or Services, certain information may be collected automatically by the game, your device, or third-party services used by the game.
Depending on the Service and how it is configured, this may include:
- IP address;
- device type and model;
- operating system and version;
- advertising identifier or similar device identifiers (not used for personalised advertising in games directed at children);
- general device and technical information;
- information about interactions with advertisements;
- information about use of the game or Service;
- diagnostic and performance information; and
- information necessary to provide, maintain, secure, and improve advertising and our Services.
We do not currently intentionally collect information such as your precise GPS location, contacts, photographs, microphone recordings, or the contents of your device unless a future Service specifically requires such information and we provide appropriate notice.
Information stored on your device
Our games save progress and settings on your device only. We do not receive this information. It is removed when you clear the app's data or uninstall the game.
- Quiz Românesc saves quizzes completed, best scores, and questions already seen.
- My Little Pal saves your pet's name, growth stage, needs, bond and milestones, memorials of past pets, and your settings (sound, vibration, reduced motion and notifications). The pet's name is chosen by the player and stays on the device.
- Neon Runner saves your coins, the characters, trails and worlds you have unlocked and chosen, your power-up upgrade levels, your high score, and your daily reward details (the date of your last reward, your streak, and the number of games played that day). It uses your device's clock to work out the day.
Internet connection and fonts
Quiz Românesc and Neon Runner need an internet connection. To check it, Quiz Românesc sends simple requests to servers operated by Google and Cloudflare, and Neon Runner sends simple requests to servers operated by Google (gstatic.com and google.com) regularly while the game is open. The start screens of both games, and our website, also load fonts from Google Fonts. These servers receive your device's IP address, as with any internet request. We do not receive or store this information.
My Little Pal works offline and does not load fonts or send connection checks to our servers or to Cloudflare. The game only reads your device's connection status so that it can tell you when an ad cannot be shown. If you choose to watch an optional ad, the ad is loaded from Google over the internet.
4. Advertising
Our games may display advertisements provided by third-party advertising providers.
Our current advertising provider is Google AdMob, a service provided by Google.
AdMob may collect and process information from your device for purposes such as:
- displaying advertisements;
- measuring and reporting advertising performance;
- limiting or preventing fraudulent activity;
- determining which advertisements may be shown;
- personalising advertisements where permitted and where applicable consent has been obtained (not in games directed at children); and
- supporting the operation and improvement of advertising services.
The information processed by advertising providers may include information such as IP address, advertising identifiers, device information, app interactions, diagnostic information, and information relating to advertisements.
The precise information collected and purposes for processing may depend on your device, location, consent choices, advertising settings, and the configuration of our Services.
In My Little Pal, the only ads are optional rewarded ads. A player can choose to watch one to double the points earned in a mini-game. Ads are never required to play or care for the pet.
In Neon Runner, ads include banner ads on the menu and game over screens, a full-screen ad after every few games, and optional rewarded ads that a player can choose to watch, for example to continue after a game over, to earn bonus coins or to double a daily reward.
Google's processing of information is also governed by Google's own privacy policies and terms.
For more information about how Google processes information, please see Google's privacy information: https://policies.google.com/privacy
5. Personalised Advertising and Consent
This section applies to games that are not directed at children, such as Quiz Românesc and Neon Runner.
Where required by applicable law, we will request consent before allowing personalised advertising or other processing that requires consent.
For users in the United Kingdom, European Economic Area, and Switzerland, Google requires publishers using AdMob to use an appropriate consent management solution when serving personalised advertising.
Where applicable, our games may use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) or another appropriate consent mechanism to allow users to make choices about advertising and related data processing.
Your available choices may depend on your location and applicable privacy laws.
If you do not provide consent where consent is required, advertisements may still be shown using non-personalised or otherwise permitted advertising methods.
You may also be able to change certain advertising or privacy settings through your device or through controls presented within our Services.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in your Android settings, usually under Google or Privacy, then Ads.
Games directed at children, including My Little Pal, do not use personalised advertising. See the section on Children's Privacy.
6. Children's Privacy
Our Services are not intended to knowingly collect personal information directly from children unless the relevant Service has been specifically designed and configured to comply with applicable children's privacy requirements. We do not knowingly request names, email addresses, or other directly identifying information from children for general use of our games, and our games do not require an account.
Some of our games, including My Little Pal, are designed for a family audience that includes children. For these games we configure advertising in line with Google Play's Families Policy and Google AdMob's requirements for child-directed apps. This means that in these games:
- personalised advertising and remarketing are not used;
- advertising is limited to ads suitable for children;
- the only ads are optional rewarded ads that a player chooses to watch; and
- progress and settings are stored on the device only.
Google may still process limited technical information, such as IP address and device information, to deliver and measure ads and to prevent fraud, as described in Google's privacy policy.
Parents and guardians can contact us with any questions or to ask us to delete information relating to a child. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information that should not have been collected, please contact us using the details below. Because our games store progress on the device only, clearing the app's data or uninstalling the game removes it.
7. Notifications, Sound and Vibration
My Little Pal can show optional notifications, for example when your pet needs care. These are generated on your device while the app is running or minimised, and no information about them is sent to us. You can turn them off in the game's settings or in Android's system settings. The game also uses sound and vibration for optional feedback, which can be turned off in settings. None of these features collects or shares personal information.
8. How We Use Information
We may use information collected through our Services to:
- provide and operate our games and Services;
- display advertisements;
- provide personalised advertising where legally permitted and not in games directed at children;
- measure advertising performance;
- maintain the security and integrity of our Services;
- detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and technical problems;
- diagnose crashes and technical issues;
- respond to enquiries and provide support;
- understand how our Services are used;
- improve existing games and Services;
- develop future games and features; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations.
We will not use personal information for purposes that are incompatible with the purposes described in this Privacy Policy unless we provide appropriate notice or otherwise have a lawful basis to do so.
9. Legal Bases for Processing
Where applicable data protection law requires us to identify a lawful basis for processing personal information, our lawful bases may include:
Consent: Where you have provided consent, including where consent is required for personalised advertising or certain similar technologies.
Contract or provision of a service: Where processing is necessary to provide a Service you have requested.
Legitimate interests: Where processing is necessary for legitimate purposes such as operating, securing, maintaining, and improving our Services, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
Legal obligations: Where processing is necessary for us to comply with applicable laws or legal requirements.
The appropriate lawful basis depends on the particular information and the purpose for which it is processed.
10. Third-Party Services
Our Services may use third-party services to provide functionality, advertising, security, hosting, analytics, diagnostics, or other technical services.
At present, our games use Google AdMob for advertising.
Quiz Românesc, Neon Runner and our website also use servers operated by Google (including Google Fonts) for loading fonts and checking the internet connection, and Quiz Românesc also uses servers operated by Cloudflare for its connection check, as described in the section on Information We Collect.
Third-party providers may process information in accordance with their own privacy policies and terms.
If we introduce additional third-party services in the future that collect or process personal information, we will update this Privacy Policy where appropriate.
11. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share or allow access to information with:
- service providers that help us operate our Services;
- advertising providers, including Google AdMob;
- technology and infrastructure providers where necessary to provide our Services;
- professional advisers where reasonably necessary;
- law enforcement, regulators, government authorities, or other parties where required by law; and
- other parties where necessary to protect our rights, users, Services, or property.
Third-party providers may process information on our behalf or independently according to their own terms and privacy policies.
12. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide our Services, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security.
Because much of the information associated with advertising may be collected and processed directly by third-party advertising providers, retention periods for that information may be determined by those providers.
Where we receive personal information directly from you, such as when you contact us for support, we will generally retain it only for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry and for any reasonable period required for legal, security, or record-keeping purposes.
13. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
However, no method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to your personal information.
These rights may include:
- the right to request access to personal information we hold about you;
- the right to request correction of inaccurate information;
- the right to request deletion of information;
- the right to request restriction of certain processing;
- the right to object to certain processing;
- the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- the right to data portability in certain circumstances; and
- the right to make a complaint to a relevant data protection authority.
These rights are subject to applicable legal conditions and exceptions.
If you wish to exercise a privacy right, contact us using the details provided below.
15. UK Privacy Rights
If you are located in the United Kingdom, applicable data protection legislation may give you additional rights regarding your personal information.
You may contact us first regarding any privacy concern or request.
You also have the right to complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe your personal information has been handled unlawfully.
Information about the ICO and how to make a complaint is available at: https://ico.org.uk/
16. US State Privacy Rights
If you live in a US state that has a comprehensive privacy law, such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas or Oregon, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information. These rights may include the right to know what personal information is collected about you and to access it, to correct it, to delete it, to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information or of its use for targeted advertising, and not to be treated unfairly for exercising your rights. This section applies to all of our games and Services.
We do not sell your personal information in exchange for money. Our games use Google AdMob to show advertising. Depending on the game, your location and your choices, advertising identifiers and similar information may be used for advertising, and some US state laws describe this as “sharing” or “targeted advertising”. Where the law requires it, you can opt out of this through the consent and privacy choices that Google presents in our games where they apply, through your Android advertising settings (for example by resetting or deleting your advertising ID or opting out of ads personalisation, usually under Google or Privacy, then Ads), or by contacting us.
Games directed at children, including My Little Pal, do not use personalised advertising, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of children.
To exercise a right, contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your request, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. If we decline a request, you may be able to appeal by contacting us again, and you may also contact your state’s attorney general or other regulator.
17. International Data Transfers
Some of our third-party service providers, including Google, may process information on servers or in countries outside the country in which you live.
Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers of personal information, the relevant service provider is responsible for implementing appropriate transfer mechanisms and safeguards.
18. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our website may use cookies or similar technologies where necessary for website functionality, security, or other purposes.
If we introduce non-essential cookies or similar technologies that require consent under applicable law, we will provide an appropriate consent mechanism.
Our Android games may also use technologies such as advertising identifiers and software development kits (SDKs) provided by third-party services.
These technologies may perform functions similar to cookies in the context of mobile applications.
19. Changes to Our Services
Glitchy Gorilla may release new games, applications, features, websites, or other Services in the future.
A new Service may use additional technologies or third-party providers.
Where those changes affect the way personal information is collected, used, or shared, we will update this Privacy Policy before or when the relevant processing begins, where required by applicable law.
You should periodically review this Privacy Policy for changes.
20. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
If a change is significant, we may provide additional notice where required by applicable law.
Your continued use of our Services after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means that you have been informed of the updated policy.

You should review the privacy policies of third-party providers to understand how they collect and process information.
